Our New Store

Our Mission

Our vision when we created Main Street Toy Co was to have a space where you could shop with your littles and enjoy the magic of childhood. We dreamed of hands-on play to test the products and to see your child's eyes light up in a way you just can't get online. We knew we wanted a storefront, but we NEVER imagined we would get the keys to our store in less than 2 months of opening. 

What the Location Means to Us

Aside from our business mission, this location is so personal to us. I spent my elementary school years attending this (former) school. When we toured the building, I walked across the auditorium stage for the first time since I stood with my 4th grade class singing the graduation song waving to my parents in the crowd. When I walked the second floor, I remembered the "gifted" classroom where I was first identified as being creatively gifted and got to explore that and learn more about how my mind works.

My dad opened his business, Dane Upholstery, in 1996 just down the street in Morrow. Every day he picked me up from school and brought me to the shop until it was time for both of us to go home. During warmer months, he took me over to Miranda's ice cream after school where they knew my order when I walked in... Dirt Cup Sundae in a Red's cap bowl! To be back in this community, opening a business down the street from my dad's who I've looked up to my whole life, in the same building I left my childhood in is such a surreal opportunity I'll never take for granted.
